<br /> <br />Notice of Proposed Decision <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has issued a proposed decision to <br />approve Bond Release Application No. 8 (SL-8) for the Elk Creek Mine, Permit No. C-1981-022. <br />SL-8 releases 9.5 acres of GVB pads and roads from all reclamation liability. The underground <br />operation is operated by Oxbow Mining, LLC under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal <br />Mining Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release application was submitted by Oxbow Mining, <br />LLC on November 9, 2022. Reclamation work on the SL-8 parcels was completed between 2010 <br />and 2012. The affected area is located in Delta, Gunnison County, approximately 0 miles North <br />of Somerset, Colorado. <br /> <br />Copies of the proposed decision are available for review at <br />https://dnrweblink.state.co.us/drms/search.aspx by searching C1981022 in the “Permit No” field. <br />A user guide is available to help first time users of the imaged document system and can be viewed <br />at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l8OUdf_Mpjo3kxIHkP5hMH-w7MeBtxX7/view.. <br /> <br />Any person who has an interest which is or may be adversely affected may request an adjudicatory <br />hearing regarding this proposed decision.
