This Technical Revision provides
supplemental information to TR-6—Wei zel Road Right-of-Way (approval dated November 2, 2021)
and the Weitzel Road Right-of-way parti;it acreage release request dated September 28, 2023.
The Timnath Connell Pit is located app•oximately one-half mile south of the Town of Timnath in
Larimer County, Colorado. The Timnatl7 Connell Pit was originally permitted for sand gravel mining
in 1999 and includes approximately 157.1 i acres.
Technical Revision No.6 added the Weit;el Road and associated Right-of-Way(ROW)to the Timnath
Connell Pit final reclamation plan. The c rcumstances that require the road to be built were addressed
in TR-6. The conditions included the I;olorado Department of Transportation project expanding
Interstate 25 and removing the eastern Frontage road that serviced the Town of Timnath and the
Timnath Connell Pit site entrance.
In TR-6, it states that the Town of Tim oath shall annex and take ownership and responsibility for
construction and reclamation of the roa J and ROW area. At this time, the Town of Timnath has
annexed and taken ownership of the Weit;el Road ROW property(documentation attached).TR-6 also
states,"If a situation occurs where any of the road needs to be constructed within the permit boundary,
road construction plans, details, and/or w-built information shall be provided to DRMS under a future
technical revision'.
Currently, portions of Weitzel Road and 1 he associated infrastructure have been constructed within the
Timnath Connell Pit permit boundary.T1 is technical revision, with the attached Weitzel Road as-built
information, provides supporting docume ntation for TR-6 and the Weitzel Road ROW acreage release
request(AR1). Following the Weitzel [load construction, an as-built survey was performed by
Galloway & Company (Johnstown, Colorado). Since the as-built survey covers Weitzel Road
construction starting north of the Timnatl i Connell Pit permit boundary and ending at Larimer County
Road 5, some information in the as-bt ilt plan set is not within the Timnath Connell Pit permit
boundary. However, the Timnath Connell Pit permit boundary is clearly marked on the attached sheets.
