Special care
will be taken to prevent any erosion into the Huefano River to the north.
PROPOSED CHANGES
There is no change to the baseline water information presented from 1985. All surface drainages will
remain in their current state and the current drainage patterns on the site will be retained.
No ground water will be exposed at this mine. There is no water source available for dust control or
supplemental irrigation any place close to this site.
The site is in final reclamation. No berms, isolation ditches, or detention ponds remain on site and none
are planned to be implemented in the future. The drainage feature that crosses the mine is not to be
disturbed by any future reclamation activities.
There are no jurisdictional wetlands on the mining operation parts of the new area, therefore no 404
permit is needed.
No water impoundments, stock ponds, or permanent stormwater ponds were built as part of the
reclamation plan.
10
SUMMIT BRICK AND TILE COMPANY- EDMUNDSON CLAY MINE NOVEMBER 2023
