1 November, 2023 C-1994-082/Yoast Mine RAR Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3 Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 Page 3 of 5 HYDROLOGIC BALANCE – Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage- Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18 Pond banks, and dam outslopes appeared stable and well vegetated at the time of inspection. o Pond 10 was discharging clear water at the time of inspection. Willows are present at the drop structure and cattails are growing in drainage way, and not obstruction flow. o Stock ponds ST1 was holding water at the time of inspection. o Pond 12 was discharging clear water through flume at the time of inspection. Ice was beginning to form on the pond. The flume is encompassed by tall grasses. o Pond 13 held clear water and was not discharging. The pond held clear water o Pond 14 held water. TOPSOIL – RULE 4.06 Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4 o All topsoiling has been completed. REVEGETATION - Rule 4.15 General Requirements 4.15.1; Use of Species 4.15.2, Grazing 4.15.5 o Vegetation throughout the site had gone dormant. o Vegetation on the slopes above Pond 12 appeared adequate, stable and was dormant at the time of inspection. FISH and WILDLIFE– RULE 4.18 Wildlife sightings included various waterfowl on the ponds, and red tail hawks. INSPECTION, ENFORCEMENT and CIVIL PENALTIES – RULE 5 Inspections 5.02; Availability of Records As this was a partial inspection, records were not checked.
