Ridley <br /> <br />RE: Clear Spring Ranch Pit - File No. M-1992-074, City of Colorado Springs <br /> Amendment (AM-1) <br /> Gravel Pit Expansion <br /> <br />Please be advised that on October 17, 2023, City of Colorado Springs, whose address and telephone number <br />are PO Box 1103 Mail Code 940, Colorado Springs, CO 80947; (719) 668-3744, filed an application for <br />a/an Amendment (AM- 1) to M1992074, Clear Spring Ranch Pit, which is located approximately 0 miles of <br />Fountain, Section 20, Township 16S, Range 65W, 06th Principle Meridian, in El Paso County. <br /> <br />Mining operations are proposed to expand to the north adding 31.4 acres to the current permitted area. <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for January 15, 2024. Written comments or objections to the <br />application may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Hunter C. Ridley at the Division <br />of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) <br />866-3567 x 8176. <br /> <br />City of Colorado Springs is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the <br />locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make comments <br />on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within twenty (20) days <br />of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review process by the <br />Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not receive your <br />comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume you have no <br />objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
