<br /> <br />Public Notice <br /> <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, of the Colorado <br />Revised Statutes, hereby issues notice that on October 12, 2023, a minor revision application (MR-478) to <br />the West Elk Mine, Permit No. C-1980-007, operated by Mountain Coal Company, LLC, 5174 Highway <br />133, Somerset, CO 81434 was considered complete for the purposes of filing. Minor Revision No. 478 <br />(MR-478) seeks to permit the construction of a monitoring hole to be used in in conjunction with the Box <br />Canyon North Water Storage Access Hole that was previously permitted with MR-474. The applicant is <br />not proposing additional surface disturbance outside of the area currently approved for disturbance. All <br />reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate <br />from this date of filing.
