Cazier, P.E. <br /> <br />RE: Portland Limestone Quarry - File No. M-1977-344, Holcim (US) Inc. <br /> Acreage Release Request (AR-2) <br /> Acreage Reduction <br /> <br />Please be advised that on September 20, 2023, Holcim (US) Inc., whose address and telephone number are <br />3500 Highway 120, Florence, CO 81226; (719) 429-5566, filed an application for a/an Acreage Release <br />Request (AR- 2) to M1977344, Portland Limestone Quarry, which is located approximately 3.5 miles East <br />of Florence, Section 17, Township 19S, Range 68W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Fremont County. <br /> <br />Holcim (US) is requesting a release of +/- 63.13 acres consisting of the plant area in the existing permit that <br />is zoned as an Industrial Area in Fremont County. <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for November 20, 2023. Written comments or objections to the <br />application may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Timothy A. Cazier, P.E. at the <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone <br />at (303) 866-3567 x 8169. <br /> <br />Comments or objections should be submitted within fifteen (15) days of this notice to be considered in the <br />application review process. The Division is required to provide a thirty (30) day period following a decision <br />on the release application to allow for appeals to its decision. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
