Box 1508 Gillette, WY 82717-1508 Period of Liability under Lease Bond Terminated On October 27, 2020, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) received a letter from Sage Creek Holdings, LLC (SCH), which requested the relinquishment of Federal Coal Lease COD056298. Under 43 CFR 3452.1-3, the BLM can approve a relinquishment if it determines (1) the relinquishment will not impair the public interest, (2) any accrued rentals and royalties have been paid, and (3) the lessee has met all the obligations under the regulations and terms of the lease. On February 4, 2021, BLM's Little Snake Field Office (LSFO) determined that accepting the relinquishment will not impair the public interest. The LSFO also found that SCH met all of its obligations under the terms of the lease and applicable regulations and are in compliance with the completion of operations and permanent abandonment procedures. Further, the Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR) reviewed the lease status and indicated there are no accrued rentals and royalties due. Therefore, pursuant to regulations found at 43 CFR 3452, the BLM accepts these relinquishments, effective October 27, 2020, the date of filing of the application. The liability period for CD056298 under Federal Coal Lease Bond COB000077, with Sage Creek Holdings, LLC, as the principal and Travelers Property Casualty Group as surety, may be terminated as of the date of this decision.
