Burns Figa&Will 6
September 5,2023
CJK of the obligation to notify homeowners and be responsible for potential damages. It
does NOTHING to address the concerns that have been raised during the last year. It
appears to be an evasive tactic to absolve them of responsibility for the destruction they
may inflict on the surrounding community.
It is unfortunate that CC41-C see this as a disingenuous action. In fact, the intended action is a
revision of the original Affected Area of the operation (see orange boundary) being modified to
provide the Benson home with as much buffer (about 500ft from proposed FTD and other new
construction and as far as possible from existing infrastructure) from the operation as possible
(see red boundary). This concession, stemming from concerns raised during the previous
amendment application process) resulted in CJK effectively sterilizing about 7 acres of its land.
x
Emergency Management Plan
• This plan addresses employee injuries and fire but does not address chemical spills other
than in the responsibilities section to report on the incident. This plan is fine for a facility
