Shell Frontier Oil & Gas
Inc.
Reclamation Report
IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION:
Operation: 2006-07 Geo-hydrology Drilling and Coring Program - Public Land Prospecting
Operator: Shell Frontier Oil & Gas Inc
DRMS NOI #: P2006-036
Contact Info: Samantha Baker SGWS Legacy Program Manager, Shell Frontier Oil &
Gas Inc., 150 N. Dairy Ashford, Bldg. E-1040G, Houston, Texas 77079.
STATUS OF RECLAMATION:
The Prospecting NOI was approved on March 01, 2007 for the development of the 2006-07
Geo-hydrology Drilling and Coring Program - Public Land Prospecting. A Land Use Permit for
access to the pads was granted by the BLM on February 26, 2007 (#COC69167). Shell Frontier
Oil & gas Inc. (SFOGI) has elected to discontinue development of the project and requesting
partial acreage release, it has been determined that reclamation has been achieved and no
new surface disturbances were created subsequent to issuance of the NOI.
82-1-299
The 1 installed Hydrology well was plugged and abandoned in the Fall of 2010, the plugging
report submitted to CDRMS November 3, 2010. The well casing was cut off at 4ft below final
grade, a metal cap welded with well name identification scribed on cap. The final reclamation
phase was completed in the Fall of 2010. The pad and access road was de-compacted and
restored to existing grade, stabilized topsoil was utilized to provide approximately 4" of topsoil
covering prior to seeding. The pad and access road was drill seeded per the approved BLM
seed mix(BLM native mix#2 from 1997 RMP), followed by weed free straw mulch and covered
with remaining woody debris from the original pad construction. The continued efforts of the
noxious and annual weed management in combination with spot seeding created a diverse
vegetation throughout the pad, including volunteer Rabbit and Sage brush. CDRMS annual
inspection determined that the access road had good vegetative cover, and the pad has good
diversity of grass and shrub composition at 80%or greater cover of desirable vegetation. It was
noted that there is evidence of grazing but the vegetation appears sustainable even with
pressure. Final reclamation has been achieved.
84-1-299
4
