At least 75% of the relative production will be comprised of seeded species or <br /> species of comparable quality as livestock forage. State listed noxious weed <br /> species and all annual and biennial plants will not be counted towards the <br /> revegetation success standard for irrigated pasture cover or production in any <br /> reclaimed or reference areas. <br /> The cropland area seed mix consists only of alfalfa;therefore,no diversity standard <br /> is proposed. <br /> G. The reference areas will be utilized to determine revegetation success in a manner that <br /> the Division finds acceptable 4.15.7(4)(a). <br /> H. Prime Farmland Irrigated Cropland production success demonstration will be based on <br /> comparison of irrigated cropland reference area. Section 2.05.4(2)(e) contains further <br /> information for Prime Farmland Irrigated Cropland <br /> XII. Post-Mining Land Use <br /> B. The predominant pre-mining land uses were related to irrigated agriculture, grazing, and <br /> related support facilities. Approximately 85% of the permit area was irrigated <br /> agriculture. The remaining 15%was composed primarily of sagebrush rangeland, with <br /> smaller inclusions of abandoned farmsteads and facilities. The pre-mining land uses are <br /> discussed in Section 2.04.3 of the permit and shown on Map 2.04.3.The proposed post- <br /> mining land uses are combined with the revegetation in Section 2.05.4(2)(e) and shown <br /> on Map 2.05.4-5. <br /> The Division is proposing to approve the post-mining land uses of irrigated pasture, <br /> irrigated cropland, dryland pasture, industrial, commercial facilities and residential <br /> (4.16.1 and 4.16.3). <br /> XIII. Protection of Fish,Wildlife and Related Environmental Values <br /> Fish and wildlife habitat is not a planned post-mining land use. <br /> XIV. Protection of Underground Mining <br /> This section does not apply to the New Horizon Mine. <br /> XV.
