<br /> <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety proposes to approve Permit Renewal <br />Application No. 8 (RN-8), submitted by Twentymile Coal, LLC for a coal mining permit at the Foidel <br />Creek Mine (Permit No. C-1982-056). The proposed renewal will allow for continued mining and/or <br />reclamation operations at the site. <br /> <br />The Foidel Creek Mine is a/an underground operation located in Routt County, approximately 23 <br />miles Southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Coal interest is federal, state and private, and the <br />surface to be affected is federal, state and private land. The permit area encompasses approximately <br />22,647.00 acres. <br /> <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding of whether the proposed operation will comply with all <br />requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34-33-101 et seq., <br />C.R.S., and the regulations promulgated thereunder. <br /> <br />A copy of the “Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance”, including any stipulations, is on <br />file for public inspection at the Routt County Clerk and Recorder, 136 6th Street, Steamboat <br />Springs, CO 80477.
