<br /> <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety proposes to approve Technical Revision <br />Application No. 134 (TR-134) for the Trapper Mine (Permit No. C-1981-010), submitted by <br />Trapper Mining, Inc.. This technical revision is being submitted to revise topsoil stripping areas in <br />the C and J-Pit areas. The pit design for C-Pit has been modified from previous submittals and <br />additional dragline cuts are proposed in J-Pit. <br /> <br />The Trapper Mine is a/an surface coal mine located in Moffat County, approximately 6 miles SW of <br />Craig, Colorado. Coal interest is federal, state and private, and the surface affected is state and <br />private land. The permit area encompasses approximately 11,293.79 acres. <br /> <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding of whether the proposed operation will comply with all <br />requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34-33-101, et seq., <br />C.R.S., and the regulations promulgated thereunder. <br /> <br />The revision application, as well as all other permit documents, can be viewed at <br />https://dnrweblink.state.co.us/drms/search.aspx by searching C1981010 in the “Permit No” field. <br />A user guide is available to help first time users of the imaged document system and can be viewed <br />at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l8OUdf_Mpjo3kxIHkP5hMH-w7MeBtxX7/view. <br /> <br />Persons with an interest that may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a <br />formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board on the proposed decision.
