Yeldell <br /> <br />RE: Meeker Pit - File No. M-1976-038, Meeker Sand & Gravel, Inc. <br /> Amendment Application (AM-2) <br /> Amendment to Permit #M-1976-038 <br /> <br />Please be advised that on July 10, 2023, Meeker Sand & Gravel, Inc., whose address and telephone number <br />are P.O. Box 1550 3251 Counrty Road 4, Meeker, CO 81641; (970) 878-5061, filed an application for a/an <br />Amendment (AM- 2) to M1976038, Meeker Pit, which is located approximately 4 miles South of Meeker, <br />Section 36, Township 1N, Range 94W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Rio Blanco County. <br /> <br />Amend mining permit to: increase permitted acreage to 111.20 acres, allow mining to boundary (without <br />100’ buffer), Post mine land use of rangeland with 11.43 ac Industrial. Revise acreages to reflect updated <br />survey/mapping. <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for October 9, 2023. Written comments or objections to the <br />application may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Amy C. Yeldell at the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) <br />866-3567 x 8183. <br /> <br />Meeker Sand & Gravel, Inc. is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the <br />locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make comments <br />on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within twenty (20) days <br />of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review process by the <br />Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not receive your <br />comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume you have no <br />objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
