7/5/23,2:08 PM State.co.us Executive Branch Mail-Re:2009-2022 Camenish Borrow Pit SWSP, M-2006-078,SWSP ID 4944
Regards,
Jared Dains
From: Dickinson - DNR, Wenli <wenli.dickinson@state.co.us>
Sent: Wednesday, June 14, 2023 10:23 AM
To: Jared Dains <jareddains@applegategroup.com>;Abdullah Javed <ajaved@applegategroup.com>
Cc: loana Comaniciu - DNR<ioana.comaniciu@state.co.us>; Michael Hein - DNR <Michael.Hein@state.co.us>
Subject: Re: 2009-2022 Camenish Borrow Pit SWSP, M-2006-078, SWSP ID 4944
Hi Jared and Abdullah,
Our understanding is that in the previous correspondence with our office, the agreement
was to apply for an SWSP for November 2022 through October 2023 in which the applicant
will have replaced the historical and actual depletions through October 2023, and then the
applicant would apply for a second plan from November 2023 through October 2024 in
which they would be replacing all future anticipated depletions through January 2037.
This way, 94% of depletions would have been replaced through the end of October 2023
and the remaining 6% of the depletions would be wrapped into the out-of-priority
depletions from November 2023 through December 2024. However this plan is proposing
to wrap all remaining depletions after December 2022 into 2022 which is much more than
the 5% of remaining depletions that the SEO allows to be wrapped into plans or the 6%
that was agreed upon. Could you please amend the plan such that replacements during
this plan period only cover depletions through December 2022 (and a renewal will be
required for the following year during which the remaining depletions could be wrapped
into that plan); or amend the plan to extend the approval period through December 2023
and wrap the remaining depletions into year 2023 instead?
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you,
Wenli Dickinson, P.E.
Water Resource Engineer
I
P 303.866.3581 x8206
1313 Sherman St, Suite 821, Denver, CO 80203
wenli.dickinson@state.co.us I dwr.colorado.gov
https://mail.google.com/mai I/b/ALGkdOxhJsspQ9 WQy6M8ZvEdoQU rzvydSw2AkGT9zE9ZwUt2J rQJ/u/O/?i k=96aa8aO8c9&view=pt&search=al I&permt... 4/8
