The Southfield Mine was an underground mine which <br />the Division has revoked the bond and terminated the permit. Therefore, no mine operator remains. All bond <br />monies available to the Division will be utilized as needed for reclamation and maintenance activities. The <br />weather was cloudy and ground conditions were dry. Temperatures during the inspection were around sixty <br />degrees fahrenheit. <br /> <br />On November 13, 2018, a meeting was held between the Division and The Corley Company. During this meeting, <br />Dr. Corely, president of The Corley Company, informed the Division that it was best that the Division no longer <br />access the site on the lands owned by The Corely Company. Based upon that meeting, the Division no longer <br />inspects that portion of the Southfield Mine. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />The Magpie Diversion was not inspected. For more information, please refer to the Inspection Narrative of this <br />report. <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />The reclaimed substation access road vegetation showed increase in vegetation from encroachment from the <br />adjacent areas however is intermittent and patchy. Some areas along the reclaimed road remains sparse due to <br />usage post-reclamation. No recent use on the road was observed. The reclaimed substation pad is established with
