It <br /> has proven successful where used on other land in the vicinity of <br /> the mine. The seed will be drilled where possible and doubled if <br /> broadcast . The site is currently part of a south facing terrace <br /> deposit of sandy gravel located in a Sandy Plains Range Site unit <br /> west of Campo Colorado. It has no special or unique characteris- <br /> tics with a mostly grass and weed cover that is use as rangeland. <br /> The central part of the site is a bald area where little <br /> vegetation exists . The average annual production is approxi- <br /> mately 400 pounds per acre. The plant community is 75% grasses, <br /> 10% brush and 15% weeds . <br /> The species of vegetation found on the mine site are Blue <br /> grama, Prairie sandreed, Needelandthread with some Western <br /> wheatgrass, Sand bluestem, and Sideoats grama.
