The inspection was conducted by Clayton Wein of the Division. Basil Bear represented Bowie <br />Resources during the inspection. The weather was clear with a temperature of 66 degrees F. The ground <br />conditions were mostly dry with some damp areas. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE – Rule 4.18: <br />During the inspection, a small group of deer was spotted along the lower portion of the haul road. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br />Due to the closure of Highway 133, a couple of the ponds at the mine were not able to be inspected. Pond B was <br />holding water below the level of the primary discharge outlet. The embankments of the pond were stable with <br />vegetative cover. There were no indications of erosional features. The inlet and outlets of the pond were clear of <br />debris. Pond C was holding a small amount of water in it at the time of the inspection. There was no discharge <br />from the pond observed. The embankment of the pond was vegetated and stable. There were no erosional <br />features noted. The inlet and outlet of the pond was clear. Pond D was also holding a puddle of water in it. The <br />level of water in the pond was below the discharge outlet. The embankment was stable with no erosional features. <br />The embankment was sufficiently vegetated. The inlet and discharge outlet for Pond D were clear of debris. Pond <br />F, located at the southeast base of Gob pile no. 2, was impounding water. No discharge was observed. The <br />embankment for the pond was stable with vegetative cover. There were no erosional features identified. <br /> <br />
