stream above Paonia is in good condition. Fish species in the river <br />• vary within the location of the stream. From Paonia Reservoir <br />downstream the Colorado Division of Wildlife stocks catchable size <br />rainbow trout annually. The North Fork of the Gunnison River supports <br />an estimated 2,000 angler days annually in the Paonia Reservoir and <br />adjacent sections of the river. <br />• <br />Due to the extremely small size of the permit area, several types of <br />mammals, birds and reptiles may use this area as part of the local <br />habitat but are not solely dependent on the area which will be disturbed <br />by TCC for survival. In fact, these animals will easily adapt and move <br />into the adjacent areas while the TCC facility is in operation.
