Site <br />contains numerous dead sagebrush plants (Artemisia tridentata). <br />#4-TSN, R91W Section 4,-SW 1/4 NE 1/4. This site contains very old sagebrush <br />stands in the periphery, and a large established serviceberry bush (Amelanchier <br />alnifolia). <br />#5-TSN, R91W Section 3, NE 1/4 NW 1/4. No evidence of plowing was found. The <br />site contained large amounts of dead sagebrush (Artemisia trident at a). <br />#6-TSN, R91W Section 3, NW 1/4 SW 1/4. This site contains established oak (Quer- <br />cus gambelii), serviceberry (Amelanchier alnifolia), and dead sagebrush (Artemis- <br />ia trident at a). <br />#7-TSN, R91W Section 3, NE 1/4 SE 1/4. No evidence of surface disturbance by <br />agricultural equipment. The site contains dead sagebrush (Artemisia tridentata) <br />~~ .and annual grasses. <br />#8-TSN, R91W Section 2, SW 1/2 SE 1/2. This area is very small and contains <br />stock watering troughs. There was no evidence of surface disturbance from plow- <br />ing. <br />#9-T6N., R90W Section 31, SE 1/4 SW 1/4. Used for domestic grazing (see corres- <br />pondence with Hugh Seely in Appendix F). <br />#10-TSN, R90W Section 6, NW 1/4. This_ site was also used for domestic grazing <br />(aee correspondence with Hugh Seely in Appendix F). <br />These ten areas are considered as rangeland for the purposes of this application. <br />The evidence of attempts to use [hem as cropland and their subsequent abandonment <br />is evidence of unsuitability for farming. <br /> <br />2-180 <br />
