Hays <br /> <br />RE: Henderson Mine - File No. M-1977-342, Climax Molybdenum Company <br /> Amendment Application (AM-8) <br /> Henderson Reclamation Permit Amendment AM8 <br /> <br />Please be advised that on May 1, 2023, Climax Molybdenum Company, whose address and telephone <br />number are P.O. Box 68, Empire, CO 80438; (720) 942-3255, filed an application for a/an Amendment <br />(AM- 8) to M1977342, Henderson Mine, which is located approximately 9 miles of Empire, Section 25, <br />Township 3S, Range 75W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Clear Creek, Grand County. <br /> <br />This Amendment (AM8) proposes to increase the Henderson Mill affected land boundary by <br /> 224 acres to allow for the installation of water quality management related infrastructure, including <br /> access roads for new monitoring wells. <br /> <br />The application decision is scheduled for July 31, 2023. Written comments or objections to the application <br />may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Peter S. Hays at the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) 866-3567 x <br />8124. <br /> <br />Climax Molybdenum Company is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in <br />the locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make <br />comments on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within <br />twenty (20) days of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review <br />process by the Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not <br />receive your comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume <br />you have no objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
