Hays RE: Henderson Mine - File No. M-1977-342, Climax Molybdenum Company Amendment Application (AM-8) Henderson Reclamation Permit Amendment AM8 Please be advised that on May 1, 2023, Climax Molybdenum Company, whose address and telephone number are P.O. Box 68, Empire, CO 80438; (720) 942-3255, filed an application for a/an Amendment (AM- 8) to M1977342, Henderson Mine, which is located approximately 9 miles of Empire, Section 25, Township 3S, Range 75W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Clear Creek, Grand County. This Amendment (AM8) proposes to increase the Henderson Mill affected land boundary by 224 acres to allow for the installation of water quality management related infrastructure, including access roads for new monitoring wells. The application decision is scheduled for July 31, 2023. Written comments or objections to the application may be submitted to and additional information obtained from Peter S. Hays at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (303) 866-3567 x 8124. Climax Molybdenum Company is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make comments on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within twenty (20) days of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review process by the Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not receive your comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume you have no objection or comment to the proposed activity. M-GR-03A-P
