EXHIBIT C —PRE-MINING AND MINING PLAN MAP(S) OF
AFFECTED LANDS
(a) The adjoining surface owners of record immediately adjacent to the pit
boundaries are listed below and on Exhibit C attached map.
• Barry J and Carolyn L Gerstner(directly adjacent section to west
as displayed on map)
• Clifford R Roberts (owns all of section 9 as displayed on map)
(b) Big Timber Creek, County Roads and electric power lines within two hundred
(200) feet of all boundaries of pit area are shown on the attached Exhibit C map.
(c) The attached Exhibit C map shows the existing topography of the area to portray
the direction and rate of slope of the affected land.
(d) The attached Exhibit C map shows the area to be involved in the operation,
including the area to be mined, access roadway and the area of affected lands.
(e) The type of present vegetation covering the newly affected lands is mainly short
and mid grasses which may consist of a plant community with mainly western
wheatgrass, switchgrass, prairie sand reed and big bluestem.
(f) Corrective measures will be taken to prevent the any storm water from the nearby
Big Timber Creek from entering the pit area by building up the permit boundary
walls as well as staying further away from the Creek boundaries to not disturb the
walls. The Creek is a non-flowing old dry creek bed which is why the mining
material will be beneficial to maintain County Roads. Exhibit G has further water
information.
(g) There are a few significant, valuable or permanent man-made structure contained
within two hundred (200) feet of the affected land. The attached Exhibit C map
shows there is typical barbed wire fence near the permit boundaries and is owned
by Clifford R Roberts. The other structures contained within 200 feet of the
affected area is an electric line owned by K.C. Electric Association and an
overhead electric transmission line owned by Tri-State Generation and
Transmission.
C-1
