Please be as specific
as possible.
Comment/Objection Narrative
To allow additional mining operations in Leadville/Lake County will endanger not only the environment, but will
adversely have effect on the health and well-being of the citizens of Leadville/Lake County.Toxic waste
(cyanide)into our water systems is not beneficial to human or animal life, and will permeate the ground water
and soil for many years to come, making is unusable and'dead'.The continual traffic and overuse of our roads,
streets and highways will be terribly impacted and damaged from the trucks and transportation of already stable
tailings from one side of town to another. The dust and pollution will create health hazards to all. This will be
excessive during the summer and tourist season, which Leadville depends on for its economic benefit. Having a
mining operation clog our highways, roads, and create health hazards is not what the citizens/residents want.
The co$t to human life, its animal population and the all important tourist dollar, far outweighs the need for
addition destruction of land, resources, and our way of life. Keep ALL mining out of Leadville..we are happy
with what we have here already. Do not need out of state corporations or mining companies coming in and
destroying what precious piece of paradise we have;after-all,they're in it for the almighty dollar$$$;they do
not care about our lives here.
Permit Number*
Enter valid letter and then numbers, for example M1977999, M1999777UG or C1981201.
M1990057
Permitting Action Type
Select revision type or leave blank if comment pertains to a new permit application or NOI
Permit Type
County
Lake
Enter one county only
I
