Please be as specific
as possible.
Comment/Objection Narrative
Regarding application#M1990057:
Please do not allow this mining related project go through. It is of utmost importance that we not slip backwards
to a time when when toxic chemicals posed serious threats to the health of Leadville residents, wildlife, the
Arkansas River, and more. The use of cyanide for their processing methods is an extremely undesirable aspect
of this industry. Leadville was formerly a"mining town", but has over a century plus transformed into a mountain
hamlet with a colorful economy, including a thriving tourism industry.educational establishments, medical
facilities, public land and resource management, and much more. It is no longer necessary to depend upon
mining type of industries for a stable economy in the Leadville area. In fact, this proposed company's endeavors
would undermine the quality of life for visitors to our beautiful area, threaten the water quality of ground water
and the Arkansas River, disturb residents in the nearby neighborhoods, and the list continues. For decades the
Environmental Protection Agency, with he help of community members and other vital entities has brought the
natural areas in and around Leadville to a safer and healthier state. We were even a Superfund site!We
absolutely cannot regress and allow application#M1990057 to be granted permission to proceed with their
endeavors I urge in all sincerity and earnestly to please please reject application#M1990057,now and anytime
in the future!!
Permit Number*
Enter valid letter and then numbers, for example M1977999, M1999777UG or C1981201.
M1990057
Permitting Action Type
Select revision type or leave blank if comment pertains to a new permit application or NOI
Permit Type
Mining related activity
