Box 297 <br /> 426 East Adams <br /> Naturita, CO 81422 <br /> Dear Mr. Howell: <br /> We received your request dated October 10, 2022 for a 2 year extension for the Blue Streak <br /> notice(COC- 74756), located in T.46N., R18W., Sec.34, Montrose County, Colorado. We have <br /> reviewed your request and found it to be complete, pursuant to 43 CFR 3809.333. Ongoing <br /> inspections have found that the site has been kept in good order, and the disturbance footprint <br /> has not been expanded beyond what was previously approved. Nuvemco has responded to <br /> notifications about any problems in a timely manner. We conferred with the CDRMS, who <br /> checked the existing reclamation liability ($24,480) and found that your existing bond remains <br /> adequate. A copy of the CDRMS bond calculation summary is enclosed. <br /> Your notice is hereby extended for an additional 2 years, effective March 20, 2023, with no lapse <br /> in status. The notice will expire on March 20, 2025. Please keep us abreast of any upcoming <br /> activity at the site beyond routine maintenance-type operations. <br /> Lastly, the Blue Streak Mine has been under a notice-level plan since December 12, 2007, first <br /> under COC- 71535, which lapsed, and subsequently under this notice which superseded it(COC- <br /> 74756). In that time surface management operations beyond upkeep and maintenance have <br /> seemingly been minimal. If, over the course of this two-year extension, activity at the site has not <br /> progressed towards increased exploration and development, then we would like to discuss <br /> completing reclamation requirements prior to the extension notice's expiration date. <br />
