Page 23 <br /> 6.4.4 EXHIBIT D — Extraction Plan <br /> Initial Plant Site Theater as seen in Exhibit C-2: Extraction Plan Map <br /> With the exception of the wash pond, whose margins follow existing surface <br /> elevations; all plant site processing activities will occur on upland areas <br /> outside of the existing 100-year floodplain. These lands occur north and <br /> north-west of the existing Evans Ditch as it winds north of the Big Thompson <br /> River. <br /> Plant activities will require a wash plant and attending wash pond to recycle <br /> wash water and receive discharge silts and other reject fines from the washed <br /> product. Plant and Wash Pond areas are identified on Exhibit C-2: Extraction <br /> Plan Map. The wash pond will function as recycling wash water and receiving <br /> basin for reject fines for the intended Plant/Processing activities. Since the <br /> basin functions in a closed system, it will not require dewatering. <br /> Once the wash pond is established, wet plant operations can be created and <br /> join any dry plant activities in progress. Dry Plant operations can be readily <br /> established since water is not integral to their operations. Once established, <br /> wash pond water will function as a closed system. Settled materials from <br /> wash Ponds will be utilized as product or for reclamation as desired. <br /> Plant equipment will include, but is not limited to, a crusher, screens, and <br /> conveyors, scale house and scale, and attending equipment. Resulting <br /> stockpiles of pit run and processed products may be temporarily stockpiled <br /> here with processed stockpiles, or combined as needed, until transported to <br /> market. <br /> VARRA COMPANIES, INC.
