As a large enough area is completed,the excavated area <br /> will be regraded to slopes flatter than three feet horizontal for each vertical foot.The finished area will <br /> be sloped to correspond to the natural drainage pattern of the surrounding area. <br /> The stockpiled topsoil will be placed uniformly on the graded surfaces at a thickness equal to the <br /> adjacent lands, in this case, less than 3" on the south pit and none on the north pit, using rubber tired <br /> scrapers and blade graders.The finished surfaces will be seeded with grass compatible to the area <br /> during the season, and at such rates as recommended by the Soil Conservation Service and as detailed in <br /> Exhibit D. No trees or shrubs are anticipated in the reclamation process. <br /> The reclamation plan will result in a return of the area to the equivalent use of the adjacent native low- <br /> productive pastureland." <br /> Exhibit D of the current 110c approved permit, paragraph 6 states: <br /> Mine Reclamation recommendations (include key/habitats for which restoration is designed). "Aside <br /> from doing some grading to improve the aesthetics,very little need be done as the next flood will <br /> deposit more sand.This situation makes revegetation extremely difficult.The present sparse vegetation <br /> is witness to this situation." <br /> Signed: Donald Bogart <br />
