Two possible partings in the 4.5-inch casing were identified while tripping in the well,one at 1640.5 feet and one at 1756 feet,based on the casing tally. Seven cement plugs were pumped to plug the well to surface. The first five plugs consisting of a total of 422.5 sacks(98.4 bbls)of 14.2 to 14.4 lb/gal Portland Type 1/11 cement blend was spotted in the cased hole from 1,820 feet to 1,640.5 feet. Based on the calculated casing volume and 8.75-inch annulus volume for the interval,approximately 775%excess cement(85 7 bbls)was pushed out the perforations at 1,745,1,690 and the partings at 1,756 and 1640 5 feet into the casing annulus and the adjacent formation. The sixth plug consisting of 157.5 sacks(36 bbls)of Portland Type 1111 cement,with an average of 14.4 lb/gal density,was pumped downhole to plug the well from a depth of 1,640.5 feet to 580 feet Based on the calculated casing volume and uncemented casing annulus(875 to 580 feet)for the interval,approximately 9 1%excess cement(3 bbls)was pushed out the perforations at 1,628,and 765 feet into the casing annulus and adjacent formation. The seventh plug consisting of 131.25 sacks(30 bbls)of Portland Type 1/11 cement,with an average of 14.4 lb/gal density,was pumped downhole to plug the well from a depth of 580 feet to 51 feet. Based on the calculated casing volume and uncemented casing annulus(580 to 51 feet)for the interval,approximately 16.4%excess cement(5.9 bbls)was pushed out the perforations at 1,628,and 765 feet into the casing annulus and adjacent formation. The surface casing was cut off below surface. The 4 5-inch casing annulus from 51 feet to surface with 10 sacks (0 8 bbl)of 15.2 lb/gal Portland Type 1/11 cement. A total of 721.25 sacks(165.2 bbls)were used to P&A the 31A-TDR.The casing was cut off below ground level,capped,and buried prior to regrading of the well pad.
