Reclamation was completed by the IMP in 1995. Since <br /> that time, the mine has been classified a Superfund site and the property has been purchased by the Colorado Department <br /> of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). CDPHE is in the process of consolidating mine waste in the are into a mine <br /> waste consolidation area. Thirty(30)test holes were dug over the 1 acre site using a large excavator. <br /> Once the depth of the material was determined, the holes were backfilled. See attached map for further detail. This <br /> information will be used to determine the volume of material to be moved into the CHPHE repository in 2009. <br /> Remaining Reclamation Requirements and Estimated Cost- $100,000.00 (Severance Tax Funds) <br /> Material from the Kokomo site will transported into the CDPHE Waste Consolidation Area in 2009 under an Interagency <br /> Agreement.
