1000LORADO <br /> .0 Division of Reclamation, <br /> Mining and Safety <br /> Department of Natural Resources <br /> 27 February 2023 <br /> Miranda Kawcak <br /> Moffat County Mining, LLC <br /> 29515 Routt County Road 927 <br /> Oak Creek, CO 80467 <br /> Dear Ms. Kawcak: <br /> The Division has received and reviewed the 2022 quarter three and quarter four Discharge <br /> Monitoring Reports (DMRs), for the Seneca IIW Mine. The reports were received by the <br /> Division on 17 February 2023 as electronic submittals. The reports cover the time frame of <br /> July through September 2022 (Q3), and October through December 2022 (Q4), for discharge. <br /> Seneca IIW ponds sampled for DMRs comprise: Pond 5, Pond 6, Pond 9, Pond 15, Pond 16 and <br /> Pond 17. There was no discharge from outfalls 005, 009, 015 and 17 for either quarter. <br /> DRMS notes the following: <br /> o Pond 916 was within 0.3 of its maximum pH value of 9.0 in Q3 and Q4. <br /> o Pond 915 was close to 0.6 of its maximum pH value of 9.0 Q3 <br /> o Pond 96 was within 0.4 of its maximum pH value of 9.0 in Q3. <br /> Seneca Properties should submit the DMRs to the Division, in accordance with Rule <br /> 4.05.13(2)(a)(111), specifically within 30 days of sampling. The report is in compliance with the <br /> applicable sections of the Rule. <br /> The Division has no further comments at this time.
