Coal Basin Slope Stabilization Project <br /> 23rd Construction Grant <br /> I. PROJECT OVERVIEW <br /> The purpose of the Coal Basin Slope Stabilization Project was to minimize sediment transport <br /> from four mine bench outslopes by manipulating overland flow characteristics, revegetating the <br /> slopes, and planting shrubs at the base of each slope. The project was funded by a Colorado <br /> non-point source grant, the revoked bond and the U.S. Forest Service. <br /> II.
