Bidders are cautioned that, notwithstanding any remarks or clarifications <br /> given at this meeting and site showing, all terms and conditions of the <br /> contract documents remain unchanged unless they are changed by written <br /> amendment issued by the OWNER. If the answers to questions, or any <br /> amendment to the contract documents create ambiguities, it is the <br /> responsibility of the bidder to seek clarification prior to submitting a <br /> bid. <br /> BID OPENING DATE <br /> The bid opening date for this project is May 7 , 1991 at 2:00 P.M. Please <br /> see Number 2 of the "General Conditions". A written tabulation of the . <br /> Bid results will be available to those bidders who submit a <br /> self-addressed stamped envelope with their bid. Telephone requests <br /> cannot be honored because of time constraints. <br /> PROJECT START <br /> The expected start date for the project is May 27, 1991 . A Notice of <br /> Award will be sent to the apparent low bidder within four (4) days of the <br /> bid opening. The Mined Land Reclamation Division must receive the <br /> required insurance, bonds and project schedule within fourteen (14) days <br /> after the bid opening. At the expiration of the fourteen days CMLRD may <br /> elect to award the contract to the next lowest bidder. Bidders are <br /> advised to keep close contact with CMLRD during this period. <br /> PROJECT SCHEDULE AND PRE-CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS <br /> A project schedule must be submitted to the PROJECT MANAGER for approval <br /> prior to the start of construction. The project schedule shall show Time <br /> Lines of major activities and Bid Items , and shall demonstrate the <br /> CONTRACTORS ability to complete the project within the allotted time. <br /> For the New Pryor Project the CONTRACTOR will develop a project schedule, <br /> as outlined above, and provide the PROJECT MANAGER with a written <br /> description or map of intended haul routes . Haul routes will be laid out <br /> so as not to disturb virgin ground, historic mining structures or <br /> vegetation . The haul route layout must be approved by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER prior to the start of construction. <br /> TIME OF COMPLETION <br /> The time of completion allowed for the project is 45 calendar days after <br /> receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Inspection points shall not be <br /> completed on weekend days without prior authorization of the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. <br /> -2- <br />
