PRE-RECLAMATION SITE CONDITIONS
The Gold Hill Mining District Notice of Intent (NOI) is located east of Gold Hill in Boulder County. Prospecting
occurred in mining claims located in Section 7, Township 1 N, Range 71 West in the 6rh Prime Meridian. The
NOI was issued to Phil Hannum in 1996. The NOI noted several claims to be prospected under the NOI;
Snowbound, Wild Tiger, Clara, Frank, Madge, Maud, Blancha, Henry, Thanksgiving and Little Ginny veins.
In 2011, the NOI was revoked and the bond money in the amount of$2,000.00 was forfeited for failure to pay
annual fees.

Construction Work Description
The Phil Hannum NOI reclamation work was included in the Gold Run Mine Closure Project due to its proximity to
other mine closures in the area (PO Number PKA-15-752). The NOI application submitted by Phil Hannum was
vague on the location of the prospecting activity. DRMS inspection reports and claim maps were used to determine
the likely NOI disturbance. The Snowbound mining claim contained a shaft approximately 10-ft wide, 12-ft long
and 20-ft deep surrounded by fencing. The fencing was removed and set aside. The shaft was backfilled with on-
site rock and fill dirt. The backfilled area was mounded with 3-feet of fill dirt to allow for settling. A monument was
installed and the NOI permit number was stamped into the cap. A straw waddle was placed on the downstream
side for sediment control. The area was seeded and fertilized.
