("EFRI's") correspondence to the
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety(the "Division")dated May 19, 2022, a
third-party consulting firm, Western Water& Land ("WWL")was contracted, late-2021, to
continue the hydrologic studies initiated at the Whirlwind Mine in 2008 and 2009 and complete a
groundwater characterization report as contemplated in the 2008 112d permit application
approved by the Division). WWL has completed the Groundwater Characterization Report, a
copy of which is enclosed.
EFRI previously indicated and still anticipates that this report, and the overall hydrogeological
conceptual model, will continue to be supplemented with data and analyses as mining operations
advance. This characterization report will aid EFRI in predicting and mitigating potential
hydrologic impacts and update mine closure planning, as appropriate.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact me at 303-389-4132 or
sbakkenna,energyfuels.com.
Sincerely,
Energy Fuels Resources (USA) Inc.
Digitally signed by Scott
Scott Bakken Bakke"
Date:2023.02.1611:04:23
-07'00'
Scott A.
