The original SWSP for SFIG Mine was approved on April 30, <br /> 2001. The prior SWSP was renewed by letter dated November 17, 2021 and that plan expired <br /> on September 30, 2022. The required application fee of $257 for a SWSP has been submitted <br /> (receipt no. 10023345). <br /> Plan Operation <br /> This plan seeks to replace depletions resulting from mining operations at the S&tH Mine. The <br /> S&tH mine permit area covers approximately 750 acres and is located at the confluence of the <br /> South Platte River and St. Vrain River near Platteville, more specifically in Sections 26, 34 and <br /> 35, Township 4 North, Range 67 West of the 61h P.M. and Section 2, Township 3 North, Range 67 <br /> West of the 6th P.M. A general location map is shown in the attached Figure 1. The depletions <br /> that result from the mining operation over the period of this SWSP include evaporation from <br /> exposed ground water, dust suppression, dewatering, and water lost with the mined product. <br /> The main proposed replacement source is water stored during free river and in-priority in the <br /> Milliken Reservoir.
