COLORADO
\/ Division of Reclamation,
® Mining and Safety
Department of Natural Resources
Date: February 3,2023
To: Robin Reilley
CC: Jared Ebert and Amy Eschberger
From: Zach Trujillo
RE: Trapper Mine,DRMS File No. C-1981-010
Permit Revision No. 11 (PR-11)Reclamation Cost Estimate
Robin,
As requested I have reviewed Trapper Mine's(Trapper)reclamation cost estimate (RCE)associated with
PR-11 and have updated the Division's site wide RCE. Trapper's PR-II proposes to update the mining
and reclamation plans for the upcoming permit term. This includes updates to the L,I and J-Pits along
with the inclusion of a new pit,C-Pit as well as associated support ancillary disturbances.
The new total amount for the updated Trapper RCE is$41,744,040.00.This amount is an overall
reduction from the Division's previously calculated RCE. The reduction can be summarized by the
following:
1. Truck/Excavator support equipment and%utilization were updated as necessary to ensure
accuracy and consistency across all tasks and Trapper's Table A-2.1. This led to a total net
decrease in operation cost for support equipment associated with Truck/Excavator tasks.
2. Scrapper support equipment and%utilization were updated as necessary to ensure accuracy and
consistency across all tasks and Trapper's Table A-2.6. This led to a total net decrease in
operation cost for support equipment associated with Scrapper tasks.
3. Scrapper volume units of material quantities were updated from CCY to LCY as necessary to
ensure accuracy and consistency across all tasks. This led to a total net decrease in operation time
associated with Scrapper tasks.
4. Revegetation task methods were updated to ensure accuracy and consistency across all tasks and
with Trapper's approved PAP.
5. Removal of duplicative tasks, most notably with Borehole tasks drill rig equipment application.
6. Removal of requested tasks that were never built and removed from Trapper's approved PAP.
For rational and more information, please refer to the following comments to Trapper's comments from
the letter dated January 26,2023 regarding the Division's original RCE.Attached(Google Drive link)is
the updated PR-I I RCE.
Trapper Mine RCE Memo February 3,2022
4F COlO
F
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us
Jared S.
