6.4.9 Exhibit I <br /> Soils Information <br /> A Custom Soil Resource Report for Las Animas County, specific to this site, is attached <br /> for review. The site is made up of Midway clay loam and Midway-Chicosa complex, as well as <br /> Manzanst silty clay loam and Manzanola silty clay loam. <br /> The Midway series consists of shallow,well drained soils that formed in residuum and <br /> slope alluvium from calcareous platy, clayey shale. Midway soils are on ridge crests, mesas, <br /> plains, and hills in shale bedrock uplands. Slopes range from 0 to 40 percent. Mean annual <br /> precipitation is about 13 inches and mean annual air temperature is about 50 degrees F. <br /> The Chicosa series consists of very deep, somewhat excessively drained soils that <br /> formed in coarse alluvium on terraces, fans and fan remnants. Slopes range from 1 to 25 <br /> percent. Mean annual precipitation is about 14 inches and the mean annual temperature is <br /> about 50 degrees F. <br />
