Figure 2, Figure 3, and Figure 4 describe <br /> and depict the mining stages for Phase 3 of this project which include the construction of a <br /> perimeter berm. Scott has made efforts to mitigate the visual impact of the project through the <br /> use of these berms along the perimeter of the site. These berms will be placed inside of a 25- <br /> foot set back area from the property line and wetland areas. These berms will be roughly 5- <br /> feet in height and 23-feet wide at the bottom built at 21-1:1 V slope. The berm will support noise <br /> mitigation during operations and provide a screen to buffer visual impacts. The berm will be <br /> constructed prior to commencing any mining activity (Phase 3 Mining Extraction). Site <br /> preparation activity as described in Phase 1 Site Development and Phase 2 Mining <br /> Preparation, such as removal of overburden, shall proceed prior to the construction of the <br /> 2-22 <br />
