<br />Dear Mr. Dagget:
<br />
<br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal
<br />application for coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Colowyo
<br />Coal Company L.P. on April 18, 2022 for the Colowyo Coal Mine. In accordance with Rule
<br />2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal
<br />Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision.

<br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request
<br />a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the date following the
<br />first publication of the public notice by the Division in the CO Mountain News Media - Craig Daily
<br />Press.
<br />
<br />The surface mine is located approximately 28 miles South of Craig, Colorado. The permit area is
<br />further described as follows:

<br />All or portions of Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 28, 29, and
<br />30 in Township 3 North, Range 93 West; Sections 7, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26,
<br />27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34 in Township 4 North, Range 93 West; Sections 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12,
<br />13, 14, 15, 22, and 23 in Township 3 North, Range 94 West; and Sections 12, 13, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27,
<br />34, 35, and 36 in Township 4 North, Range 94 West (all in 6th Prime Meridian).
