Compliance With Mine Plan N - Support Facilities Not On-site <br /> N -Other N - Special Categories Of Mining <br /> R -Processing Waste R -Topsoil <br /> COMMENTS <br /> This report documents the observations made during a partial inspection of the Deserado Mine <br /> conducted on December 20, 2022. The inspection was completed by Clayton Wein of the <br /> Division. Kurt Blunt accompanied the inspection as the operator's representative. The weather <br /> was overcast with a temperature of 13 degrees F. The ground conditions were covered with <br /> more than '/z foot of snow. Access throughout the mine site was limited due to the winter <br /> conditions. <br /> EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE—Rule 4.09 <br /> Placement; Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization: <br /> The Halandras Landfill is located on the west side of County Road 65 (CR-65), and to the north of the <br /> main facilities area. The site was well kept and waste material was observed to be within the landfill pits. No off <br /> site impacts were observed. The topsoil piles for the landfill were covered with snow and showed no indications <br /> of erosional features. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The three ponds located within the main facilities area were frozen over and covered with snow(DP-1, <br /> PP-1 and PP-2/Photo 1). The embankments for the ponds were stable and there were no erosional concerns <br /> identified. The outlets for the ponds were observed to be clear of debris. <br /> The RS-1 sump and the RR-1 pond are located on the south side of the rail loadout. Both the sump and the pond <br /> were covered with snow. The embankments were observed to be stable with no erosional features. <br /> The SS-1 pond is located to the north of the Slot Storage facility. The pond was covered with snow. The <br /> embankments of the pond were stable with no indications of erosional features.
