December 13,2022 C-1982-056/Foidel Creek Mine ZTT
OL
L=
. .,,
Pond D. Pond B.
PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11
Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement:
The Refuse Disposal Area(RDA)was inspected from the facility area.Access to the RDA was limited and could
not be accessed at the time of the inspection due to snow depth. No issues were observed.
ROADS—Rule 4.03
Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3),Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and
(6)/4.03.2(5) and(6),Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7):
Facility and 6 MN access roads were plowed and well maintained.
SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04:
The Wash Plant and associated buildings were inspected. Discussion regarding sealing the back building to keep
water from outflowing from the building was had.Foidel has contracted a company to come and seal the interior
of the building which is planned for the future once weather and temperature allows. This is to ensure water will
be contained within the building and designated travel path. Currently, the area is encompassed with a swale like
ditch that directs flow to an approved sediment Pond D or E. While snow covered, additional hail bails have been
placed and observed for additional sediment control from runoff of the area.
The 6 MN corridor was inspected.Majority of facility pads were heavily snow covered and minimal visual
observations could be made of the area. The 6 MN vent shaft pad and associated facilities in the area were
inspected. The area is has a gravel pad and slopes gently to the north were any runoff is captured by a ditch down
gradient and directed to a sediment located just adjacent to the pad. The staged rock dust at the entrance to 6MN
pump house pad was observed. The pile is scheduled to be removed and within the disturbance boundary.
