allow access to the Cameo B seam to the southwest. If the Cameo B seam is
• abandoned due to poor quality, this area will also be mined to increase the
•
overall mining recovery for the Cameo C seam.
Recovery can also be increased by obtaining more Federal coal to the
west and north. These future lease acquisitions allow mining of the triangular
pieces of coal near the lease boundary. Alternatively, small panels with rooms
will need to be developed in these areas. The economics of these smaller
panels will be evaluated further as the C seam is being evaluated.
The projected annual tonnage from the Roadside Mine is shown on Table
4-1A. The Roadside South Mine is currently idle.
TABLE 4-1A
LOGICAL MINING UNIT APPENDIX
ROADSIDE NORTH MINE
PROJECTED ANNUAL TONNAGE
PHCC R2P2
Page 8
2.28-99
South
North
Year
Portal
Portal
Total
1999
0
450,000
450,000
2000
0
450,000
450,000
2001
0
450,000
450,000
2002
0
450,000
450,000
PHCC R2P2
Page 8
2.28-99
