<br />RN-08 Rev 09/22 <br />Figure 3-2 <br /> <br />Public Notice <br /> <br />Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete <br />application for a technical revision (TR-71) to the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining <br />and Safety for its Roadside North and South Portals, mining permit No. C-1981-041. The <br />proposed revision decreases the permit boundary and revises exhibits and tables <br />throughout the permit. This revision includes the removal from the permit boundary of <br />approximately 0.72 miles of I-70, located at Exit 45, and approximately 0.25 miles of Rapid <br />Creek Road, located in the N1/2 NE1/4 of Section 2, T11S, R98W, 6 th P.M. The purpose of <br />the revision is to change the permit boundary to reflect portions of the bond release granted <br />by the Division with the approval of SL-11 which will reduce the permit area from 548.0 <br />acres to 317.0 acres. <br /> <br />The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at <br />the Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No. 45. The permit area is encompassed within the following <br />lands: <br /> <br />T10S, R98W., 6th P.M.: Sections 26, 34, & 35 <br />T11S, R98W., 6th P.M.: Section 2 <br /> <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />Cameo Quadrangle map. <br /> <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa <br />County Clerk and Recorder's office, 200 S. Spruce, Grand Junction, CO. Copies of the <br />approved permit application document, as well as the technical revision application, are <br />available at the Denver office of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety [Room 215, <br />1313 Sherman St., Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866-3567]. Written comments and phone <br />inquiries regarding this application may be directed to, and additional information may be <br />obtained from, the Denver office of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety. Written <br />comments must be received by the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety within 30 <br />days after the date of this publication in order to be considered.
