Figure 3-2 <br />Public Notice <br />Snowcap Coal Company, Inc., P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete <br />application for a permit revision to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for its <br />Roadside North and South Portals, mining permit No. C-81-041. The proposed revision would <br />update the permit application in response to a mid-term review by the Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining and Safety. <br />The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the <br />Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No.46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado River <br />and 1-70, and is encompassed within the following lands: <br />TI OS, R98W., 6t" P.M.: Sections 26, 27, 28, 34, 35 <br />T1IS, R98W., 6t' P.M.: Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13 <br />T11S, R97W., 6t' P.M.: Section 7 <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Cameo <br />and Palisade Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and <br />Recorder's office, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO. A copy of the approved permit application <br />document, as well as the permit revision application, are available at the Denver and Grand <br />Junction offices of the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety [Room 215, 1313 Sherman <br />St., Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866-3567; and 101 South 3`d, Suite 301, Grand Junction, CO <br />81501, (970) 243-1571 ]. Written comments, objections or a request for an informal conference <br />on the proposed permit revision may be submitted to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety, Denver or Grand Junction offices, and must be received by the Division within 30 days <br />after final publication of this notice.
