I've got a Plan of Ops that proposes to construct a water pipeline at the above location.The operator says the
pipeline crosses USFS lands; however, all our records disagree.The mill/mine don't intersect USFS lands.
Attached are the MTPs for the area and maps. I've also provided a kmz of the pipeline.The surface layer in this
area is a cluster b/c of all the historic mining, so I wanted to double check with you before responding to the
operator.
Also, if the pipeline crosses USFS lands, what process does the operator need to do for compliance with the
USFS? Does BLM just include the FS in the NEPA process as a cooperating agency or does the operator need to
file a separate ROW application and go through a separate NEPA process with y'all?
Thanks for the input and help!I I
Legend
Pink=water pipeline
Blue= mill & mine boundary
Yellow= BLM lands
Green = USFS lands
Vertical Lines =fed min estate
9
