Box 773598 <br />Steamboat Springs, CO 80477 <br /> <br /> <br />Re: Hayden Gulch Loadout (Permit No. C-1992-081) <br /> Permit Renewal Application No. 6 (RN-6) <br /> <br />Dear Routt County Planning Department: <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, <br />Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on November 28, 2022, <br />an application to renew an existing permit to conduct coal mining operations at the Hayden Gulch <br />Loadout was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as <br />provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of <br />filing. <br /> <br />Hayden Gulch Terminal, LLC proposes to continue loadout coal mining and/or reclamation <br />operations on land located approximately 2 miles Southeast of Hayden, Colorado. The permit area <br />is further described as follows: <br /> <br />Portions of: E1/2 Sec. 10, W1/2,SE1/4, and SW1/4 Sec. 14, E1/2E1/2 Sec. 15, NE1/4 Sec. 22, <br />N1/2NW1/4 Sec. 23, S1/2N1/2, and NW1/4 Sec. 24, Township 6 North, Range 88 West of the 6th <br />P.M. Portions of: SW1/4, SE1/4, and NE1/4 Sec.17, SE1/4 Sec. 18, N1/2 Sec. 19, Township 6 <br />North, Range 87 West of the 6th Principal Meridian.. <br /> <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />map(s): Mount Harris. <br /> <br />Permit Renewal No. 6 proposes to renew the Hayden Gulch Loadout permit for another five year <br />term. This renewal application does not propose revisions to the approved mining and reclamation <br />plan, nor is there any proposed surface disturbance outside of the currently approved disturbance <br />area. <br />
