<br /> <br />Notice of Proposed Decision <br /> <br /> <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has issued a proposed decision to Bond <br />Release Application No. 11 (SL-11) for the Keenesburg Strip Mine, Permit No. C-1981-028. When <br />finalized, SL-11 will Phase I release 101.28 acres including the reclaimed B Pit, the reclaimed <br />Long Term Spoil Area, reclaimed roads, and other areas. The surface operation is operated by <br />Coors Energy Company under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act <br />of 1979. The bond release application was submitted by Coors Energy Company on June 21, 2022. <br />This application requests Phase I release of a large portion of the remaining permit area. The <br />affected area is located in Weld County, approximately 7 miles North of Keenesburg, Colorado. <br /> <br />Copies of the proposed decision are available for review at <br />https://dnrweblink.state.co.us/drms/search.aspx by searching C1981028 in the “Permit No” field. <br />A user guide is available to help first time users of the imaged document system and can be viewed <br />at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l8OUdf_Mpjo3kxIHkP5hMH -w7MeBtxX7/view.. <br /> <br />Any person who has an interest which is or may be adversely affected may request an adjudicatory <br />hearing regarding this proposed decision. Requests for a hearing must be made in writing within <br />thirty (30) days of the date following initial publication of this notice, and shall state with reasonable <br />specificity the reasons for the request and objections to the proposed decision. <br /> <br />
