The bond
release application was found complete by this Division on November 14, 2022. Surety Release
No. 16 seeks Phase II Bond Release for the reclamation of pads and roads associated with 31
Mine Ventilation Boreholes (MVBs) on the E2, 3, 4 and 5 panels, four exploration holes, and
two monitoring wells. The total acreage is 20.74 acres and the reclamation was completed
between 2012 and 2017. The surface ownership is federal and private, and the coal mined was
federal and private.

We will contact you to advise you of the Division's required bond release inspection of the site as
soon as it has been scheduled. A proposed decision on the application will be issued within sixty
(60) days of our inspection.

If you have questions or need additional information, please contact me.

Sincerely,

Leigh D.
