stockpiled material slopes may be steeper, as they are temporary. All slopes will be maintained for site
safety and to minimize material erosion. Excavated mine slopes will be backfilled against with backfill
material and no mine slopes will remain. Mining of the aggregate material will progress down to the
underlying shale bedrock.
SOUTH PLATTE RIVER
tC;
i A N
Mine Phase 1 R l
dmtnNlE r
L_
Mae1 3 C
W.
c W
W
1
l: W' --- --- NO MINING
d
THIS AREA o NO MINING
a THIS AREA
Ph 18tK
2
i p
f
1
w <i
Comm
Asphalt
i S11LES MINING RESOURCE
1. -
erntlon Mine Phase,Mine Block and
Mining Direction
—_ w , f•r Revision 10/18/2022
MINING DIAGRAM — Mine Phase, Mine Block and Mining Direction
6. Dewatering trenches, pump basins, ditches, lay flat hose and pumps will be installed prior to the
excavation of aggregate material from any mine block. The mine phase and blocks will include
the dewatering trenches around the perimeter that will be placed at the toe of each
successive 31-1:1V mining slope. The aggregate material is ±36 feet deep. As a mine
block is mined deeper, the dewatering trench will be lowered and moved laterally along the
±3H:1V slope and then the material will be dewatered to help dry the raw aggregate material in
the center of the block which will be excavated and removed from the pit.We are planning to
mine and dewater each block in three lifts. The excavated raw aggregate material will be
temporarily stockpiled near the portable aggregate processing equipment sites. Lay flat hose
will cross 35th Avenue in steel casing for traffic crossings at various locations to accommodate
the neighbors light vehicle traffic. 35th Avenue is not used by the general public and access will
be limited to specific individuals and companies. When the aggregate material is processed,
then it is available for sale, further processing at the wet plant or to be used by the asphalt hot
plant as a part of the hot bituminous asphalt paving material.
H:\Pits HBP Plants\EVANS\Evans Mining Resource\DRMS Adequacy Revisions\Exh D Mine Plan Rev 101822.docx
